On June 25th & 26th, Craig Sowash, Premier Protein® Aficionado from Portland, OR ran The 38th Annual Western States 100 Mile Run. From Squaw Valley, OR to Auburn, CA, the race follows the original trails used by the gold and silver miners of the 1850’s. After finishing the race in 19th place for his age group, Sowash had this to say:

It is a brutally hard course that deals with extreme elevation, snow pack, high running streams, lots of rocks and roots,” described Sowash.  “Running at night is always a challenge, but the Premier Protein Bars & Shakes gave me the calories, minerals, and protein to pull me through the rough spots in the race and make it to the finish line!

WOW Craig, what a journey! Thanks for sharing your story with us and we’re glad Premier Protein Bars & Shakes could help you through the race.
