I have been a yo-yo lowfat dieter for 17 years. I've never stayed at the same weight for very long. I have either been slowly gaining or slowly losing 35-50 lbs during those years.

On New Years Day 2004, a firefighter friend explained to me how eating low carb might help me. He had been using low carb eating to control his weight for over a decade.
